Today

Friday, December 9th, 2005

Today was really a regular day. I’m watching Friends right now while typing this up. Hehe.

Anyways, today, in PE, we did the usual: square dancing. I was in a square of girls again. Haha. My group was really weird though. All the dance moves were all messed up. But it was okay. There’s only like, a couple of classes left, I think/hope.

In Foods, we had 2 demos because we only have 3 classes left. We had 2 choices: we could have had 1 demo today and then cook the next day and then the last day we had a demo but then don’t cook. The second option was having 2 demos today and cooking both of them. The class chose that one. So we get to make shortbread and jam thumbprint cookies. =D

In Art, we watched part of Singin’ In the Rain. It was kinda boring.

In Socials, it was like a free block. There was a video on but we weren’t even watching it. I was just busy writing in my agenda all the stuff I have to do for next week. So much stuff. >.> And then we had this uh… this lesson thingy. Well, we have to do a “project” for some lesson thing. =S

But everything was okay. I have to study for a Science test on Wednesday, and then kinda think about my English essay. What else… well, I’m going skating next Thursday, and then the English field trip on Wednesday, and the French project.

Yeahh. Well, gonna continue to watch Friends now.

Planning Ahead Isn’t All That Bad

Thursday, December 8th, 2005

People at school were like “Omg you’re crazy. Planning already?” “Wholy. They’re mental.” Aha. Well, it’s actually not that bad to plan so far ahead into the future. Of course, you might not get all the courses you want or something, but it motivated me to work harder and strive to get into university and everything. Of course, applying and stuff is like, 4 years from now, but still.

I’m starting to work harder to achieve my goals. People at school are thinking that we’re insane because we’re already planning for university and majoring in this and that and we’re only in Grade 9 and that it’s WAYYYYYY too early, but I don’t really think it is. I mean, at first, I did, but it’s really not.

Say for example, in Grade 4 or 5, I was like “Woww. High school seems so far away”, but here I am, in Grade 9 now. In high school. And now I’m like “Woww. University seems fo far away”, but hopefully, I’ll get into university, get a good job, be successful, and have a great life. =D

Woww. Seems like such a mature blog. O.o Haha. Okay. I’m done for now.

Arts or Commerce?

Thursday, December 8th, 2005

Arts has Entrepreneurship and Commerce has like Economics and stuff, I think. I’m not sure which one I should choose. Hmmmm… Well, I’ll just have to work hard and see where it takes me. xD Hehe.

So anyways, today… I woke up at 7:30 cause it was a Portfolio Day, took a shower, ate breakfast, and practiced some piano. Then jetted off to school. =)

Serena brought her UBC book so I took a look at it and then I saw that there’s Arts as well. I was looking at the Commerce section and saw the program options or something and it said (something like):

Major in third year
Minor in Arts or Science

And then some other stuff with it. I don’t wanna take Science, so I turned to the Art section. It said Entrepreneurship on there and I was like OOh OOh OOh! AHaha. But I’ll probably just try to get into Commerce. =)

French was the same old thing. Science was okay. We just did notes on Magnetism. And then Math was okay as well, we just learned some new stuff. I liked my notes. They were nice. =D AHA! And then in English, we saw one more presentation and then we started on the There Will Be Wolves essay. >.>

Then I went home. I should get started on my homework now.

Day 2 of Gift Wrapping

Wednesday, December 7th, 2005

Today it was just me and Serena, plus this girl named Caroline or something and this elderly couple. Haha. But the elderly couple left early, so it was just the 3 of us. Serena and I were playing Truth. We took like a 45 minute break at like… 12:05. We ate lunch and I still need to pay her $4.11 for lunch. =)

We wrote out all the courses we wanna take. I think I’m gonna take more business courses than I expected. Well, that is, if I get into it. =D And hopefully I will. =D

Meggie came like, near the beginning to like, see us or something and then left like a minute after. We told her we were “planning our future” and then she was like “omg you guys are mental”. AHA.

La la la la la. I think I should do some homework. Portfolio Day tomorrow. That means we go to school at 10, I think. I need to wake up at 7:30, take a shower and practice piano before I go to school so I don’t have to do it after school and I can just do homework. =D

I just have French and Science homework to do. Yupp. Okay. Gotta do homework now.

Short Day

Tuesday, December 6th, 2005

There was a short day today because of parent/teacher conferences. We got off school at 2:20. It was a Friday schedule.

My new cell works now. =)

I have volunteering tomorrow, since it’s a pro d day.

I really wanna study business. =D It seems fun. Marketing, Entrepreneurship, all that kinda stuff. =D

I’m so lazy. I don’t wanna do any homework. I jsut wanna watch TV. =) I should go and do that afterwards.

Well, I’m gonna write some calendar thing and then watch TV.

Business?

Monday, December 5th, 2005

Hehe. I’ve been thinking about taking something to do with business for my elective next year, and maybe the rest of the years. =D I like business. It seems really fun. I wanna take Marketing 11 next year, and then Business Information Management 11 in Grade 11, and then Entrepreneurship 12 or something like that in Grade 12. =D Hehe.

I made brownies today in Foods. They’re good, but you need to drink them with milk or you’ll get reallly thirsty.

I still have tomorrow’s homework to do. = = I should get started on that soon.

In PE today, we did square dancing again. My square was all girls. AHA! =) It was fun. We had this elimination thing and my group was like sooo freaked out that we were gonna make a mistake. We lasted the longest, almost near the end of the song, but then we bust. Haha. It was fun though.

I got a new cell phone today. =D Hehe. I like it.

Well, gonna work on some homework now.

Soumya’s House Again

Sunday, December 4th, 2005

I went to Soumya’s house again to do the English project. Alex came too, but he was like all confused and stuff. We explained it to him like a million times and he’s still like asking questions. = = But anyways, we added 5 minutes to the newscast and hopefully, we’ll get a 4/4 if we can get it to become 18 minutes.

After I left Soumya’s house, I got take-out from McDonald’s and ate at home. They messed up the order. I ordered 6 McNuggets and they only gave 4. >.> Oh well.

I watched March of the Penguins. It’s soooooooo cute and funny. It seemed really short though. But it was good.

I worked sooo many hours on the stupid Socials homework. I ended up with 7 pages. = = I don’t really see the point of this cause we don’t really even learn anything. Oh well. At least I finished it.

I’m gonna read Dare to Discipline Yourself for Silent Reading next. It looks really cool. I didn’t actually finish reading There Will Be Wolves but oh well. I kinda get it, I think. =T

Omg. I need to go to sleep. = =

Day 1 of Gift Wrapping

Saturday, December 3rd, 2005

I got to the booth at around 9:55, and Serena was already there. She was looking at the information sheet of paper from the binder. After I came, Michelle came and she thought she was late. After that, Meggie came.

We sat and stood for about an hour and a half until our FIRST CUSTOMER CAME!! I already ate my lunch and was soooooooo thirsty. We made like $10 or so from the first 2 customers. We didn’t think that anyone would actually pay that much to get their gifts wrapped, but apparently, they do.

There was this one guy who came and he had 4 presents and he actually paid $12.

But anyways, Jennifer Chow came over near the end of the shift, and she and Meggie started talking. Michelle was gonna go get ice cream so after our shift was over, Michelle, Meggie, and Jen went to get ice cream or something, Serena left, and I went to Baskin Robbins to get ice cream myself. Then, I saw this horse thing in the Grand Court. It was like this ride and there was this HUGEEE (and I mean hugeee) horse that was like being rocked by these 2 people. It was so funny. So I was standing there looking at it, eating my ice cream. A couple of minutes later, Michelle, Meggie, and Jen came and then Michelle said that she would take the skytrain with me.

So then Meggie and Jen left and Michelle and I looked at the horse thing and then Michelle started cracking up because she thought it was hilarious that the horse was manual. Haha.

Then we started walking to the skytrain and then there was this little boy that was rock climbing. He was like fumbling but it was so cute. We continued to walk and when we passed by the booth, our first customer was there again! =D Haha. Then we took the skytrain, I got off, blah blah blah. =)

I’m slacking off so much cause there’s like snow and everything, and then volunteering, and it’s like “Omg. I want winter break to come FAST.” So hopefully there won’t be any homework. =D

Okay. Well, I should really start on some homework now. =) And watch TV at the same time. MULTI-TASK! =D

Soumya’s House

Friday, December 2nd, 2005

Afterschool, Chad, Alex, Soumya, and me went to Soumya’s house to do the English project. When we were going there, we were throwing snowballs and then Chad shoved like 2 snowballs in my face. >.> Haha. And then afterwards, I shoved a snowball down his back. xD Hehe.

We filmed it and then everyone kept doing mistakes, which will probably be cut and go into the bloopers. I didn’t really want bloopers, but oh well. =)

Got report card today! Pretty proud of what I got for 1st term. =D

ART – 89 – A
ENGLISH – 85 – B
FRENCH – 86 – A
FOODS – 91 – A
MATH – 90 – A
PE – 72 – C+ >.>
SCIENCE – 82 – B
SOCIALS – 86 – A

So 5 A’s, 2 B’s, and 1 c+. I needed 0.1% more to get a B in PE. TT_TT Wahhhh. Haha. Oh well. I know that I got onto Honor Roll though. =D Yayy.

Mannn English was so funny. Haha. I forgot to bring home the mouse book to do homework, but I think Chad’s gonna fax it over, if he responds. =T

We still have to do more to the English project. It’s not long enough. We have to add pictures and slides and bloopers and everything else. = = Hope it’ll be enough time and not over the limit either.

Ooh. Volunteering tomorrow. Hehe. Well, I’m gonna do some other stuff now.

My Day

Thursday, December 1st, 2005

Today was a pretty normal day. The snow pretty much melted near my school, but up here at home, it was still pretty much all here. =) It’s snowing right now, but light snow. =( Boo hoo. Hope it’ll be alllll covered by tomorrow. Going to a friend’s house to work on English project. Too many projects. = =

Let’s see. First class was PE. Was pretty good, I guess. Square dancing. xD Haha. 7 girls and 1 guy. 2nd time. So funny.

Next class was Foods. Got a demo for brownies. Making them soon. Tasted some, and it was really rich. Kinda oversweet, but it’ll go good with milk.

Class after that was Art. Same old thing. Draw, draw, and more draw.

After that, was Socials. We went to the computer lab and went to the teacher’s website for our homework assignment. It’s so long, like they usually are, but at least we get the weekend. =T

I have a test tomorrow. Noooooooooooo. I dunno how to study for it. Humph. =( Haha. Oh well.

Homework time. =T
