English Website Project

Saturday, January 28th, 2006

Today Emily came over and we worked on our English Website Project. We’re supposed to create a website but not post it up on the net. Well, we can if we want, that’s our choice, but she told us not to. It’s really cool. We learned how to create it and do the layout and slices and stuff from these Grade 11/12 Website Design students.

Emily and I wrote some of the articles and typed up some stuff, and then when we tried it like, as if it was actually on a website, somehow, the Links page didn’t work. It was saved as links.html. It’s supposed to be .htm. But it saved itself as .html. We were trying to figure out how to fix it but we had no clue. Then, Emily had to leave.

I kept trying and trying to figure out how to fix it, so I just typed into the save box thingamabob, links.htm. And then it saved and when I tried it, it worked! Haha. And I also changed something in the layout to make it look better. =D It’s really cool.

I wonder what time Savannah’s coming over tomorrow. She never told me yet cause she said she doesn’t know. Hmmm…

Oh well. I did most of my homework I guess. It’s mainly just projects and stuff that I have to work on. Most of them are due in February. I have to keep working on them slowly day by day.

There’s people on MSN but no one that I can really talk to. Hehe. Oh well. Gonna do something else now.

A Regular Day

Thursday, January 26th, 2006

Today was pretty much regular, except we had a stupid fire thing again. It’s like the second in a week? Or something like that. DT probably calls 911 the most. Omg. Haha. And then it was cold outside and Aaron lent his jacket to this Melissa girl in my Art class and Chad lent his jacket to Michelle Wong. It was so cute. Haha. MW looked so cute in the grey… sweatshirt hoodie with zipper thing. Haha.

There was this Matchmaker quiz thing during Silent Reading. We had that last year. It’s this questionaire where we answer questions and junk. Haha. And we can buy the results and the money goes towards the school or something.

Well, nothing much else to write. =)

I wore my Puma shoes!

Tuesday, January 24th, 2006

I took advantage of this sunny day and wore my new Puma shoes! They’re really very red, but they’re comfy.

I’m gonna keep this short cause I have to study for tests and stuff. =)

Puma Shoes

Sunday, January 22nd, 2006

I got Puma shoes today! They’re red, suede, and really cool. I got it at Footlocker and the guy that works there said that if you wear them while it’s raining or wet, and you don’t spray it with this stuff, then the red from the shoes are gonna get runny and bleed all over your pants. And if you’re wearing jeans, it’s supposedly worse or something. I should wear it when it’s sunny.

I thought I would get a size 6, but then the guy said the shoe that I got from the rack was a 6 1/2 and I was like HUH? Cause it looked so tiny. It didn’t even fit. So the guy got 7 1/2 and that fit. So I got them. =)

I went to my friend’s house today to film our French project. It didn’t take that long, but I got there at 9AM. I was the first one there. We printed out the script and wrote in the invitation, which is this really big posterboard. It looked really nice.

I also got my day planner refills yesterday. They didn’t have them at the Staples near Brentwood, so I got them at the one by Metrotown. They’re the 2-page-a-day ones. I started writing in it today (planned yesterday, of course) and I wrote it in pink, and it looks really really nice. That’s my way of organizing things. My dad said it was like, a good way or something, and some people choose to hand write it while others choose to do it electronically. =D

I plan to go according to my day planner schedule as best as I can. Sometimes, I might go off schedule because maybe something took longer than I thought, but that should be okay, I guess. I just hope it’s all approximately the right time.

Well, I’m gonna do something else now. Byee!

Another Day

Tuesday, January 17th, 2006

Woww. It’s been forever since I’ve last blogged here. But anyways, there’s the Science Fair, another Science project, French project, and Socials project. Sigh. And there’s gonna be a Math test on Tuesday. So much. ><

Well, anyways, we already did course planning and I’m hoping to take Marketing as my elective. If I can’t get into that, then hopefully Accounting. =) We filled in the bubble sheet today during Socials. It was pretty fun. I think I’m dropping Science Enriched, but staying in the other ones.

I wonder who my teachers are gonna be next year. I need to work really really hard the rest of this year and next year. The counsellor was telling us about universities and everything and I was like “Omg, I need to work much harder.”

I wanna get into university and everything. Gotta work hard! Hehe. Okay. Got stuff to do now.

Another Day of School

Friday, January 6th, 2006

Wow. It’s been a long time since I’ve blogged here. I’ll keep this one short.

I’ve been continuing on the Science Fair. The Science teacher I have now keeps making us put down deadlines and stuff so it’ll move us along and not make us wait until the last minute to hand in stuff. Both plants have started growing. I’m not sure about the fertilized one, because I think I might’ve put too much water in them. Hope they’ll grow though. At least the water ones are growing.

There’s been one heck of a lot of homework from the academic teachers. Tests/quizzes are being handed back, more homework’s being assigned, more stuff’s being learned, and all that.

We’re getting out shots soon. Aiya. It’s 2 at once. On opposite arms. Eeek.

I’ve done a bit of homework, but not everything yet. Well, there’s nothing much to write about now.

First Day Back to School

Tuesday, January 3rd, 2006

Today was the first day back to school after winter break. The break seemed shorter than ever, but it was okay going back, I guess.

I had PE first block, and the teacher wasn’t there. So we had the Grade 8 teacher as our sub, and we went into the big PE classroom and learned about First Aid. We took some notes too.

Second block was Foods. We pretty much finished off the Breakfast and Cookies unit. We did a worksheet and watched this video on eggs. It was so cool. They showed the process of eggs and it going through the machines and stuff, and all that.

Third block was Art. I continued on my Peace Project and I have the paper to do my final copy on. Then, I have to do another project.

Socials was the last block. We watched this video and I took 2 pages of notes. I finished all the homework. =)

Hehe. Okay. Some other homework to do now.

Radishes are Growing!!

Monday, January 2nd, 2006

THE RADISHES FOR THE SCIENCE FAIR ARE GROWING!!! THEY’RE GROWINGG!!! IN WATER!!! =D I never thought that they would grow in water but they’re growing!! I was trying to call Savannah before but she wasn’t home. But yeahh. They’re growing. It’s so cool. The seed popped out of the skin and the skin’s floating and the thing’s white. Hehe. It’s sooooooo cool. Hehe.

So anyways, I woke up at 8AM, as usual, took a shower and washed my hair and face, ate breakfast, and practiced piano. Then I went on the computer and played some games. I watched parts of New York Minute again. It was good. Hehe.

I had lunch and then at 4:15PM, I went to my piano lesson. Then, I came back and before I had dinner, I went to water my plants and check to see if there were any changes, and there was!!! The radishes are growing!!!! Yippee!! Then, I had dinner and I went on the computer more.

Well, that’s about it.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Sunday, January 1st, 2006

It’s 2006!! I’ve done plenty of stuff already. But before I get to that, last night, I was planning to stay up until midnight or at least wake up in time to hopefully see fireworks. I read for about an hour and then lay in bed. Then, I fell asleep. >.> At 11:30PM. And then I woke up at 2:20-ishAM and I realized that I missed 12AM. T_T Oh well.

I woke up at 8AM, took a shower, washed my face, the usual stuff. Ate breakfast, practiced some piano, and then I baked some more cookies. It was pretty fun. Then, went to McDonald’s for lunch. There was hardly anyone there. Everyone was probably at church or something, or still sleeping from partying. Hehe. xD Then, went back home and finished baking the rest of the cookies. I think there were 4 batches or so. I read for a while and now it’s really boring. I have no idea what to do.

Don’t really feel like watching TV. Hm. Oh well. I’ll figure out something to do. Maybe I’ll play some computer games. =)
