Buildings anywhere in the world are not important as long as people are making use of it. If those buildings and parks are not filled with clients satisfied producing profits for their owners, then it is a total failure. It does not matter if it is Vancouver, New york or Hong Kong, otherwise it is acceptable no matter how sceptical one may be. But do not feel bad about your interest, it is always quite refreshing to see people trying to make a constructive critism to bring out the relevant truth about it.
